Role Description
This is a remote role for a Quality Assurance Lead at Gravity Interactive, Inc. The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for leading a team of game testers and facilitating training and knowledge sharing with the QA team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of testers and be responsible for the quality of their work.
Examine and analyze video game content for bugs.
Document bugs found in the games.
Write error reports which are sent to the development team for rectification. When the error has been fixed by the development team, the QA Lead verifies that the fix works properly.
Communicate with Quality Assurance team to ensure deadlines are being met.
Create internal guides and materials.
Facilitate training and knowledge sharing within the QA team
Upload error reports to appropriate databases. Maintain database to ensure up-to-date information has been entered.
Conduct industry research of comparable video games by examining and evaluating competitors’ games and creating game reports.
Maintain confidentiality of all work, especially for titles that are not released to the public.
Work directly with Product Management teams regarding game content, priorities and provide general support as needed.
Communicate with multi-cultural teams in English.
Assist with occasional game tests that may occur outside of normal working hours.
Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.
Other duties as required.
Skills and Requirements:
- +3 Years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
- Knowledge of the entertainment software industry.
- Basic knowledge of video games. Familiarity with PC and Mobile games.
- Basic ability and dexterity in playing video games.
- Flexibility and willingness to independently navigate areas of unfamiliarity.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Native Brazilian Portuguese.
- Lives in Brazil.
- Advanced English reading and writing skills.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Korean language skills a plus
